Geneva International Motor Show
Geneva international motor show is an important major international auto show conducted every year in the month of march since 1905. In 1905, all major internal combustion engine models in the history of automobile were exhibited. The steam and benzene powered cars were also exhibited during this first show. Automobile enthusiast always looked forward to attend this show where exotic super cars, prototypes from different manufacturers, new equipment, technical breakthroughs and new innovations, international partnerships were announced and unveiled. Though Switzerland lacks an auto industry of its own , it aids major auto players and others to exhibit and participate in the show.
The show is hosted at a convention Center called the Geneva Palexpo which is located next to the Geneva Cointrin international airport. The two major classifications under which the cars are displayed are as Production cars and Concept cars.
